About the Nutritional Intelligence Assessment ProgramTM
YOU ARE UNIQUE IN MANY WAYS
We are all uniquely different human beings. Our fingerprints and
voiceprints are unique. We may look similar on the outside, but each of us
has a percentage of our DNA that is uniquely our
own. We all
have different talents and a special purpose in life and each of us has
slightly different biochemical makeup. Our favorite desserts can be
someone else’s poison and vice versa. One size fits all does not fit any
one person, especially in the field of nutrition.
If our nutrient intake does not match our specific daily needs our
thoughts and feelings can be affected. Prolonged imbalance can affect
our health and well being. Not enough B-6 or B-12 in a 24-hour period
can make some individuals feeling depressed. Others can be
eating the perfect diet for their system but not have the ability to
absorb the needed nutrients. (We are what we absorb!) An overload of heavy
metals in our system can leave us fatigued, with fuzzy thinking or
lack of concentration and memory.
Nutritional requirements vary from person to person, and most of us have
either deficiencies or overloads of certain nutrients based on our
genetic structure. Some of us are born with systems that thrive on an
animal protein diet, others are best nurtured with a vegetarian diet,
still others can eat almost anything. Some of us have too much calcium,
niacinamide, copper or folic acid. Others need extra zinc, calcium or
vitamin C. These personal requirements can have an enormous effect on
one's functioning since nutrients are the raw materials for all of the
structures and functions within your body. The appropriate nutrients and
the correct amount is vital in determining your degree of health and
wellness.
Our scientists, doctors and nutritionists have studied thousands of case
histories to determine the most critical biochemical functions that can
affect your mental, emotional, energetic and physical performance.
Neurotransmitters production, heavy metal regulation and oxidative
stress, nutrient absorption, and glucose control were chosen as key
systems to evaluate for inherent imbalances. These systems, when out of
balance, can create specific symptoms and lead to a lack of health and
wellness. With the proper formula supplement your body can regain it’s
balance and optimize how it functions. Basically, you can feel, think
and perform better.
THE ASSESSMENT
Our scientists, doctors and
nutritionists have studied over 40,000 case histories to determine
the connection between the inner biochemical imbalance and the outer
expression through symptoms or traits. Our questionnaire was designed to
determine if your symptoms and traits are connected to specific
underlying biochemical imbalances. If you do express a significant
cluster of these traits and they match those found in our data bases we
can predictably determine the underlying biochemical cause. The family
doctor of not too long ago used these same techniques before modern
doctors became dependant on blood tests. We are able to use the best
techniques of both worlds to determine your nutritional profile. Our
data base contain over 2.5 million factors on over 20,000 subjects
including over 100 blood, urine and tissue analysis on each subject. If
your test results fall out side of our standards our nutritional
counselors will contact you.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE WHEN
YOU PURCHASE THE NUTRITIONAL PROFILE
Your answers to the following questions can enable us to create a unique
Individualized
Nutritional Profile based on your test results. This
personalized nutritional profile is available for $24.95 and is free when
ordering your individualized Signature
Supplements™ Program. It will identify your nutritional type, supply you
with your individualized supplements, and provide the following
information for you if you order the full nutrient program. Here is what we can provide you with:
• The results of your test showing which systems are out of balance;
(free for taking the test)
• A specific list of supportive foods and a list of foods to avoid,
matched to your profile;
• Individualized ratio of carbohydrate and protein needs;
• Follow-up diet, recipes, and food information tailored to your
nutritional type;
• Participation in our ongoing retesting research project; and
• A unique 240 capsule supply of your Signature

WHAT WE TEST
The following metabolic functions are tested through our individualized
nutritional assessment program and your results lay the foundation for
the exact nutrients and amount that best serves your biochemical needs.
Neurotransmitters
The brain is a factory that produces systems, dopamine, histamine,
endorphins and many other key chemicals that impact personality and
mental health. Histamine levels need to be very specific for optimal
functioning of neurotransmitter production. Too high or too low can
create different affects. For example, many high histamine persons tend
to perfectionism, headaches and low serotonin levels. On the other hand,
low histamine persons have a tendency for anxiety, high activity and
elevated dopamine levels. The physical and personality traits of persons
with these are quite distinctive. Your answers to this assessment can
reveal the nutrient combination to address this important biochemical
factor.
Metal Metabolism (Oxidative Stress)
Another very important biochemical factor is metal-metabolism, which has
a great effect on our temperament and ability to handle stress. The body
has a complex system for controlling the levels of copper, zinc,
manganese, lithium, calcium, magnesium and dozens of other metallic
elements in the body. Many of these metals are concentrated in the
hippocampus of the brain, which has an important role in stress control.
Persons with imbalances of metals may be prone to irritability or anger
during periods of stress. They may exhibit a quick temper or a strong
emotional reaction to change or stress or annoyances. These biochemical
states are also known as oxidative stress.
Nutrient Absorption
The body and all its functions depend on nutrients from food for proper
functioning. However, not everyone has an efficient system for
absorbing, metabolizing and utilizing carbohydrates, fats, vitamins,
minerals and amino acids from food. In many cases, this problem of
mal-absorption may be related to incomplete stomach digestion or
inefficient transport of nutrients across the brush-border of the
intestines. These people have a special need for nutrients that promote
the digestion and processing of foods. Some individuals may have
constant cravings for food others will experience cravings even when
they feel full. Either way the body is seeking more food in order to
fulfill it’s need for certain nutrients that are not being absorbed.
Glucose Control
The brain requires an enormous amount of energy to function properly.
Similarly, muscles have a large requirement for energy to carry out our
daily activities. The primary energy fuel for the body is a simple
sugar, called glucose, that is delivered to the brain, muscles, etc. The
body has an intricate system for controlling blood glucose levels which
involves a measured release of insulin from the pancreas when blood
glucose becomes elevated. In addition, the liver manufactures additional
glucose if blood sugar levels are low. This glucose-control system works
beautifully for some persons and poorly for others. Many have a special
need for certain nutrients that promote this control process. Lack of a
balanced glucose control can cause sudden drop in energy during the day,
over all fatigue, and even mood swings.
WHAT WE DON'T TEST FOR
Our testing has shown that blood typing A+, B+ etc does not match
with a particular nutritional profile due to the intermingling of
different back grounds which is so common in America. Our parent's genes
had 6 billion options to make us as we are today. Our research shows no
correlation with blood typing when different nationalities marry.
We measure your critical
systems and discover what they need to function well. Almost every other
nutritional assessment test takes generalized scientific findings and applies them
to you. For example, several studies show a majority of women need more
calcium to prevent osteoporosis. Other nutritional testing or
customizing companies may automatically add an extra amount of calcium
for all women customers (above the RDA set by the government). Our research says you need to
first determine if your body needs more - then build a formula around
your needs, not from the generalized assumed needs. Check before you buy a
custom made or designer vitamin - it may have the latest generalized
research but it may not fit your needs.
